“I have used this product on several of the thoroughbred mares at the Kentucky division of Coolmore Stud which is one of the largest and most elite breeding operations in the world. Maintaining a tough durable foot on a broodmare during wet conditions is a challenge. Excessive moisture will weaken the horn capsule breaking down the natural toughness that is required to maintain health and soundness of foot. Painting the soles, frog and outer hoof wall with the DuraCornum then applying the sealer once a week has greatly helped maintain tough, resilient soles and walls even during the wet and muddy months of the year. This product is a tremendous aid in the maintaining of strong healthy feet.”

“I have been very happy with the DuraCornum moisture system. We have used it on a variety of different feet and in my opinion the product has performed well in preserving these feet. Minnesota has a harsh environment which can challenge horses’ feet but this is an excellent product to combat that.”

“Last year, EquinSec developed a new 2 step chemistry for the Equine community… DuraCornum. I found that it has a unique ability to regulate & maintain proper internal hoof moisture levels. In wet climates, it restricts intrusion and in dry conditions it prevents natural moisture from exiting. This caused the hoof to become resilient in Dry conditions and hard in Wet climates. The improved condition of the test animals’ hooves was dramatic. Some conditions improved much quicker than the 6-week regimen. I will be running further studies on DuraCornum and EquinSec’s new chemistries which, to date, have not been available in the equine world.”

DuraCornum Testimonial from Gülüm Ӧzbey-Williams, Owner, 5/28/2015:

My horse is a Prix St George level dressage horse. Four weeks ago she was diagnosed with an abscess and the moisture that got under her hoof pad caused her sole to be soft and flaky. She was pretty lame for a couple of weeks, so much so, we ended up taking x-rays and blocking. From the radiographs we learned that in addition to the softness, her sole was also thin. Based on this my vet, recommended DuraCornum as on e of the treatments. I went ahead and purchased it. After the second application, my horse started to walk and trot with no hint of lameness. We originally thought we would need to wait at least another four weeks before we could shoe her, but instead we were able to cut that time in half. I couldn’t be happier.

“I had been searching for a product for a couple years that could help protect the feet from the excessive moisture we have in the Pacific NW and the medical problems that arise from that. As a holistic veterinarian, I am conscious of the toxic load of our environment on the horse’s health and wanted a product that didn’t add to that load for either horse or human. I was impressed with what I saw in the DuraCornum product. I tried it on my own horses and liked the results. I am now recommending DuraCornum for my clients to aid in foot health year round.
Thank you for creating a “green” product that will help horses.”

“The weather here in MI has been wet and muddy. DuraCornum seems to have helped keep the feet from getting too soggy and falling apart.”

“Last season in Florida, one of my top international horses became sore in both front feet due to moisture that combined with pads caused his sole to become thin and very sensitive. Upon getting him back to my home base and up to my vet Dr. Tracy Turner (Anoka Equine), he suggested that we try a new product call DuraCornum. In addition, we decided to remove the pads all together. This was the first time in several years that this horse did not have pads on. Over the summer, we consistently used DuraCornum and in August and September we were able to get back into the competition ring. Not only did we have a 29-hour trailer ride, he then competed extremely well at PSG and I1. To this day, we have not had any issues with sore feet with him.

We now use DuraCornum on all our horses in training and I would highly recommend this product to anyone. Whether you just want to maintain healthy feet, or if you are having some problems, DuraCornum is fantastic.”
